Kicking Off Our 2010 Practices |

Welcome to 2010!
We will be kicking off our practices starting Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. I'm not sure what exactly we're going to be looking at playing at this time, but it should be fun!!! We look forward to seeing everyone! If you have friends, bring them along too!!! Remember it's at the Selmer Middle School Bandroom. Just drive around the front of the building to the back parking lot (next to the city park basketball court). The door to the bandroom should be open by 6:30 p.m. |

Bret White and John Weeks - Christmas Concert 2009
Congratulations everyone who performed in the Christmas Concert! You all did a wonderful job! Pictures will be posted within the next few days. In addition everyone who is signed up to receive the newsletter will be notified of the next practice via Practice Announcement email from the AiM Band News. I will also try to remember to inform you via newsletter when pictures have been posted to the website. |

Dress Rehearsal and Performance Information |
First Baptist Church in Selmer, TN
Dress Rehearsal will be Tuesday, December 1 at 5:45 p.m. in the First Baptist Church located at 310 West Court Avenue in Selmer. Volunteers will be needed at the Selmer Middle School at 5 o'clock to help load up stands, chairs, etc to be taken to First Baptist Church.
Clothing Attire for the Dress Rehearsal and Performance are as follows:
Women - Dark slacks or skirt with a white dress shirt.
Men - Dark slacks with a white dress shirt and tie.
The performance will be Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Please arrive early to allow for setup and warmup. Further time schedules will be discussed more in-depth at our next practice. Also, volunteers will be needed during the day (times have not yet been set) to prepare the church building for the performance. Again, times will be discussed further in our next practice. |

The following is the community band practice, rehearsal and performance schedule.
- Monday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. (SMS Band Room) - Practice
- The above practice was canceled.
- Monday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. (SMS Band Room) - Practice
- Tuesday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m. (SMS Band Room) - Practice
- Monday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m. (SMS Band Room) - Practice
- Tuesday, December 1 at 5:45 p.m. (First Baptist Church) - Rehearsal
- Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. (First Baptist Church) - Performance
On Tuesday, December 1 volunteers will be needed at the Selmer Middle School at 5 o'clock to help load up stands, chairs, etc to be taken to First Baptist Church.
On Thursday, December 3 volunteers will be needed at some time during the day to get the church setup and ready for the performance. We will discuss the time(s) during our practices this month. |
